SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL RODENT CONTROL METHODS

Rats have become an increasing problem in both urban and rural areas of Bangladesh. Rats are a serious public health concern, and must be controlled: Rats destroy and contaminate food and other household materials. Rats and their fleas may transmit to humans various viruses, bacteria, and parasites. The potential for these diseases to spread may increase if rat populations are allowed to grow. Rats eat everything we eat, and lots more. They are extraordinary climbers, jumpers, and swimmers. They gnaw through plastic, wood, soft metals, wire (sometimes causing fires).

Rodent Control with Glue Boards

Description: Elimination and prevention of rats and mice in and around the building using non-poisonous Glue Boards (8’x8’ inch boards): To control and prevent rodents (rats and mice) inside the buildings, glue boards baited with rodent attracting food such as fresh cut potato, nuts, biscuits, etc. will be deployed. Glue used is non-drying and non-flowing and remains effective for long time in a dust-free condition. Rodents attracted by the food get trapped on the glue boards.
Glue boards will be deployed in” rodent runways” and locations likely to be frequented by rats and mice. Glue boards missing or non-effective due to dust and dirt will be replaced during the routine check.

Rodent Control with Bait Stations

Description: Rodent Control bait stations will be installed outside on the premises in” rodent runways” and locations likely to be frequented by rats and mice. Rodent Control bait stations bait will be refill during the routine check. (if Required).
