SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL FOOD & BEVERAGE PEST CONTROL METHODS

Controlling of roaches, flies, ants, mosquitoes, centipedes, etc. in the buildings. Pesticides registered in Bangladesh for public health pest control purpose will be used. Residual application of the pesticides at the recommended dosage will be made to all the breeding places and harborages of the pests. To control the flying insects, where necessary, space spraying will be done using ULV machine. Whenever necessary, fogging will do in the outside area to control flying pests. Application of pesticides will be done as per the principles and practices of Integrated Pest Management. No pesticide application will be done in the filling area (production area). In case of pest infestation in this sensitive area, production work will have to be stopped before conducting any pesticide application. Band Application’ of pesticides will be done around the perimeter of the building. Insecticides will be applied in such a way that pests get maximum exposure to insecticides while posing minimum risks to the workers and other staff.
