Acrobat Ant

Description: A light brown to black ant 1/16 to 1/8 inch long. Nest outdoors under stones,logs, and in trees. Indoors they nest in floors and wall voids. These ants will travel up to 100 feet from there nest.








Fire Ant


Description: Yellow to dark brown ranging from 1/16 to 1/4 inches. The red imported fire ant colonies can range in size from 80,000 to 250,000 workers alone. Usually nest in the ground but can develop nest in structures






Pavement Ant


Description: 1/16 to 1/8 inches dark body and lighter legs. Nest outside under flat stones, sidewalks along curbing, ect. invade structures in search of food particular problem with slab construction. Inside they nest in walls, insulation, floors. Will feed insects, meats, seeds, sweets and grease










Carpenter Ant


Description: 1/8 to 1/2 inches, Black, brown, red/black. Usually nest in wood, trees or structures. Prefer to excavate wood damaged by fungus and are ofter found in conjunction with moisture problems. May travel up to 300 feet from nest in search of food.





SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL ANT CONTROL METHODS

Controlling Household Pests (roaches, flies, ants, mosquitoes, centipedes, etc.). Pesticides registered in Bangladesh for public health pest control purpose will be used. Residual application of the pesticides at the recommended dosage will be made to all the breeding places and harborages of the pests. Insecticide application in the kitchen and other food handling areas will be made with special care to avoid contamination. Ant Bait will be applied as small places to all the walk way of ants. Application of Ant bait will be preferred more in the sensitive zero pest tolerance area. The Ant bait is the most environment-friendly option of Ant Control job. Application may be made any time without any disruption of work. This is the only no-evacuation cockroach control technique currently available in pest control field.
